Switching to TachlisAI? You can bring your old conversations with you, so they appear in your chat history and search.

Step 1: Export your chats

Request a data export from the service you used before:

  • ChatGPT: request an export of your data in ChatGPT's settings. You'll get an email with a link to download a .zip file.
  • Claude: request an export of your data in Claude's settings. You'll get an email with a link to download your data.

Download the file to your computer or phone. You don't need to unzip it.

Step 2: Import it into TachlisAI

  1. Open the sidebar, select your name at the bottom, and choose Import Chat History.
  2. Choose the source: ChatGPT export or Claude export.
  3. Choose the .zip or .json file, or drag it in. Files up to 5 GB are supported.

The import starts automatically once the file is checked. You'll see its progress, then a summary of what was imported and anything that was skipped.

Where do imported chats show up?

Imported conversations appear in your chat list in the sidebar, alongside your TachlisAI chats.

Why were some messages skipped?

The import summary lists anything it couldn't bring over, along with any warnings. Your other conversations are still imported.
