TachlisAI uses OpenAI models by default. Personal accounts on any plan, including free, can also use Claude Opus 5.5 (Anthropic), Gemini 3.1 Pro (Google), Grok 4.7 (xAI), and Muse Spark 1.3 (Meta). TachlisAI's content safeguards and your Hashkafa profile still apply.

Turn on other models

  1. Open Settings: in the sidebar, select your name at the bottom, then choose Profile & Language. You can also go to tachlisai.com/settings.
  2. Scroll to the Chat section, find Model list, and choose All models.

The other models now appear in the response mode menu in the message box, with each company's logo.

Choose the model new chats start with

In the same Chat section, use Default model:

  • TachlisAI (default): new chats use TachlisAI's own OpenAI models.
  • Claude Opus 5.5, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Grok 4.7, or Muse Spark 1.3: new chats start with that model. You can still switch any chat to Faster or Smarter.

Your default model also answers your WhatsApp and SMS messages, unless you pick a WhatsApp model with the MODEL command.

What can't the other models do?

  • They can't run code or create downloadable files. Switch the chat to Faster or Smarter for those.
  • Claude and Muse Spark can't create images. Use an OpenAI mode, Gemini, or Grok for image requests.

They can search the web and use TachlisAI's other tools.

Who can't use other models?

Other models aren't available in Family accounts, business workspaces, or the homepage trial. If All models is grayed out, your account isn't eligible.

How do I go back to OpenAI only?

Set Model list to OpenAI models only (recommended). If your default model was from another company, it switches back to TachlisAI (default).
