What is TachlisAI?
TachlisAI is an AI assistant built for frum life. You can ask it questions, get help writing and editing, research a topic, work with files and spreadsheets, create and edit images, and use your voice. Content safeguards are always on, and you can choose a Hashkafa profile so answers fit your community.
TachlisAI is a separate service. It is not the ChatGPT app, although it uses OpenAI models by default.
How much does it cost to use TachlisAI?

Where can I use TachlisAI?
You can use TachlisAI on the web at tachlisai.com, in the iPhone and Android apps, on WhatsApp, and by text message (SMS). One account works across all of them. See Ways to use TachlisAI.
Do I need an account?
You can send five free messages on the tachlisai.com homepage without signing in. To keep your chats, upload files, create images, and use everything else, create a free account.
How is TachlisAI different from other AI chat apps?
- Always-on content safeguards. Messages and answers are checked by TachlisAI's content classifiers, and the protections stay on for every account.
- Hashkafa profiles. Choose Modern Orthodox, Mainstream Orthodox, or Yeshivish / Chasidish, and TachlisAI uses that approach on sensitive topics.
- Accountability. You can add an accountability partner, and parents can manage a child's account with Family (beta).
- Built for daily life. Zmanim, WhatsApp and text-message access, and an interface in English, Hebrew, and Yiddish.

Which AI models does TachlisAI use?
By default, TachlisAI uses OpenAI models, including GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-6 Astra. You choose how much thinking TachlisAI does with the response mode in the message box. See Choosing a response mode. If you'd like, you can also use models from other AI labs. See Using Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Muse Spark.
Can I trust that TachlisAI is telling me the truth?
TachlisAI can search the web for current information, but AI answers and citations can still be wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it. If an answer is wrong, please let us know with the thumbs-down button under the answer.
Does TachlisAI give halachic rulings?
No. TachlisAI is a productivity tool, not a posek. Answers about halacha are for learning and are marked Not a psak. If you ask for a ruling, TachlisAI will refer you to your rav. See Asking halacha questions.
